.As AMERICAN FREE PRESS goes to press, the final outcome of the 2012 election remains up in the air. The media is abuzz with all sorts of theories about what might happen. We’ve even seen The Washington Post suggest Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney could win the popular vote but that President Barack Obama could retain office by winning the electoral vote — a result that should demonstrate, as populists have said for years, that the Electoral College is in need of reform.
It’s been an interesting election. Many patriots have allied with hard-line Zionists and Lady Lynn de Rothschild of the banking dynasty to deny Obama a second term. These patriots looked the other way in the face of Romney’s ugly track record of “outsourcing” American jobs and many loudly condemned third-party candidates — who offered real alternatives to the tired rhetoric of both major parties — for potentially splitting the anti-Obama vote.
And while we’ve been hearing this election has been a choice between “communism” and “capitalism,” nothing could be further from the truth. Communism and capitalism are two heads of the same beast, and anyone who thinks capitalism is the equivalent of free enterprise has a lot to learn. The plutocrats are happy with either of these so-called choices as long as there are profits to be made.
Americans need to start looking at some real option for the future and forget this phony debate foisted upon us by those who control the major media. The whole “left-right” paradigm — this rut so many people have gotten caught in — needs to be discarded forever.
In the past, there have been successful economic experiments in other countries demonstrating a solid “middle ground” or “third way” between communism and capitalism. Truth be told, American populism — in its historic form — is precisely such an alternative.
If Romney wins, there’s one thing for certain: He will do everything he can to quash the Ron Paul movement. Followers of Paul and other like-minded Americans must resolve today — not four years from now—to build a genuine third-party that will adopt Thomas Jefferson’s populist and nationalist point of view.
Let’s consign the Republicans and the Democrats to the trash heap of history — where they belong.
